Geographic products and services Integration of products and services Geo-information, meteorological data, socio- economic data,... By means of airborne/spaceborne data acquisitions and existing databases, different kinds of (non-)geographic information are collected The collected data are transformed into usefull products and services (land use maps, detailed urban maps, vulnerability and damage assessment, flood monitoring,...) The products and services serve as input for applications like assessing vulnerability, management of resources, modelling natural events, etc. 3 3 ENVIRONMENT – Natural Resources Reporting Decision-support tools Management tools

ENVIRONMENT – Natural Resources Main lines of interest: ENV Assessing vulnerability of urban systems, populations and goods in relation to climate-induced natural disasters in Africa ENV Integrated management of water and their natural resources in Africa ENV _2 Integrated resource management based on land and land use management Relevant products and services: (Urban) Land Use maps, Land use monitoring, Population distribution maps,… Flood risk management services: assets mapping, hazard mapping, risk mapping, damage assessment Geospatial indicator analysis & GIS processing in general Relevant experience (ESA, EC FP6/7): Global Monitoring for Environment and Security (GMES) Private contracts with EU, regional, national instances and agencies, Telecom industry,… Project Links: WE ARE INTERESTED TO CONTRIBUTE TO EXISTING OR EMERGING CONSORTIA
