Why create AutoCorrect Shortcuts? Record comments frequently made on student papers and text references. Keep entire paragraphs on hand for editing. Save course descriptions, TCOs, syllabi! Save time retyping or searching for words, phrases, sentences, or paragraphs used repeatedly. AutoCorrect shortcuts word in any Microsoft application.

AutoCorrect Shortcut—Step 1 Create a list of AutoCorrect shortcuts. Keep the list handy in case you forget your shortcuts.

AutoCorrect Shortcut—Step 2 Highlight text to be added as an autocorrect

AutoCorrect Shortcut—Step 3 Click on Tools and scroll down to AutoCorrect Options.

AutoCorrect Shortcut—Step 4 The text you highlighted will appear in the WITH field.

AutoCorrect Shortcut—Step 5 Type in your shorthand code in the REPLACE field.

AutoCorrect Shortcut—Step 6 Click the ADD button at the bottom of the screen.

AutoCorrect Shortcut—Step 7 Now type your shortcut, and by the time you press the last character, your autocorrect will replace the shortcut code with your desired text.
