NB Cell Changes Kick-off meeting ORE Garching 10/10/2006 A.Tanga

Main points of NB cell Design Review in progress and next in November, new baseline in Interfaces critically important RH-maintenance considerations Definition of scenarios Need of input data/assumptions

Non RH Activities NB cell extra beams: Inspections, Leak test, pipe disconnection, (pump replacement), cable-bus bar disconnection/connection, exchange of equipment, VVPSS rupture disc inspection-exchange, valve replacement. NB cell top tubes. To be specified. NB: Remove/re-install shield, remove/re-install connections, bring in equipment for safety such as barrier, tents, disassemble the high voltage line of the DNB, revision of the scheduled maintenance of the source due to RF choice and elimination of filaments, only Cs oven re-filling. NB: Accident recovery scenario such as water leak in an injector.

Conclusions The work on NB cell integration to be finalized by year end to make the new baseline. Next year more detailed analysis. Basic activities can be defined at this stage. Interface with RH task.
