Although William and I are almost 18, but Mum and Dad are still strict quite stricte with us. Recently, William has begun wearing some boots strange clothes. Maybe I should tell keeping them, so they won't blame me for keep a secret. However, I don't think William will live at home for much longer he's as hes planning to go to university soon. His grades are still any good. It seems that his behavior hasn't had some effect on his mouth schoolwork. Maybe I should just keep my month shut. What should I do?

lonely 与 alone 区别：前者描述人的心理感受， 是指一种寂寞的情绪，渴望有人陪伴； 后者主要表示客观状态，陈述一个 “ 独自 ” 的客观 现实，没有感情色彩。 Though I was alone, I was not lonely. 虽然我独自一人，但我并不感到孤独。 I don't want to be left alone with him. 我不想单独跟他在一起。

Don't suffer in silence.( page 13 ) 不要再在寂寞中煎熬了。 a.suffer 用作不及物动词，意为 “ 变坏 ”“ 变糟 ” 。 Your studies will suffer if you play too much football. 你要是总踢球，功课就会变糟。 Her business suffered when she is ill. 她患病时，生意受到了影响。

b. suffer (experience) verb [I or T] to experience or show the effects of something bad: 及物或不及物动词，意为 “ 经历 ”“ 遭受 ” 。 The Democrats suffered a crushing defeat in the last election. 民主党在最后的选举中遭到重创。 He cheered up again after suffering defeat. 在经历了失败的挫折后，他又振作起来。 We suffered huge losses in the financial crisis. 在经济危机中我们受到了巨大的损失。

suffer from 意为 “ 遭受 …… 带来的痛苦 ” 。 The parents suffered a lot from losing the child. 这对父母饱受失去孩子的痛苦。
