Juvenile Justice Project 2009 Scheherazade Foundation launched the project in 2009 with the Conference organized in Bucharest at the Faculty of Law from Bucharest University, as they celebrated 150 years anniversary. 250 participants from 41 counties of Romania attended the Conference, and the international experts had come from The European Court of Human Rights, Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Austria and United Kingdom. The entire project is funded by the Royal Embassy of Netherlands (Hague Human Rights Fund) in Bucharest. The partners of the project for 2011 were: Ministry of Justice National Authority for Child Protection Superior Council of Magistrates Ministry of Interior and Administration Public Ministry Council of Europe (they celebrated 60 years anniversary) The general scope of the project is to contribute in creating a child rights culture in Romania that will allow a better respect for the rights of the children who appear in court for various charges.

Juvenile Justice Project 2011 We continue the project in 2011 with a series of 6 regional seminars organized in 6 key cities from Romania – Constanta, Timisoara, Sibiu, Cluj, Iasi and Craiova. The partners for the project in 2011 are: Ministry of Justice Public Ministry Ministry of Labor, Family and Social Protection Ministry of Administration and Interior National Institute of Magistracy The National Bar Association of Romania At the moment we have successfully finalized the seminars in Constanta (92 participants), Timisoara (60 Participants), Sibiu (110 participants) and Cluj (60 participants). The scope of the seminars is to promote the exchange of best practices among the experts in the field by creating a dialogue and collaboration framework between the professionals involved and by creating a inter-institutional mechanism of collaboration.
