Presentation transcript:

We live in earth which is the third planet in the solar system. When lithosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere meet there a layer is formed which is called‘’BIOSPHERE’’. In this layer we live which is only found in our planet. So, life exists here.

ABOUT THE EARTH Average distance from the sun - Diameter - Average temp. -

Surface – Basalt and Granite rock. Time to revolve around the sun – Three hundred sixty five and one fourth day Day – 24 hours No. of moons - 1

PARTS OF THE EARTH

CRUST It is the upper most part of the earth. Where minerals are found, plants grow and life exists in this part of the earth. It’s depth is about 35 to 60 km.In this part of the earth there are oceans also.

MANTLE The second part of the earth is mantle. It is situated 2900km down the crust. It is very hot there. It is said that there are only melted or hard stones. There are gases also in these stones which are called MAGMA.

CORE It is the third part of the earth. It is said that there are only melted iron, rocks and other melted things there. It is also very hot there. Anything can melt there.
