SUITABLE NON-SELECTIVE SUCCESSFUL Choosing with confidence The continuing education of our young people is a matter of importance and trust. We believe strongly in high standard secondary education for all. This is available in Ballymoney High.

SUITABLE NON-SELECTIVE SUCCESSFUL Choosing with confidence Transfer at age 11 is not an end in itself. It may involve academic selection. It need not. Good schooling can equally be non-selective. It is not just about grammar school places. Non-selective does not mean second best!

SUITABLE NON-SELECTIVE SUCCESSFUL Choosing with confidence It should not mean thinking of yourself or any school as less worthy, less excellent, or less capable of being and doing the best possible.

SUITABLE NON-SELECTIVE SUCCESSFUL Choosing with confidence It’s about “selecting” a new school with learning opportunities that are suitable and successful for you.

SUITABLE NON-SELECTIVE SUCCESSFUL Choosing with confidence What schools teach, and how, make this possible. Providing a full range of lessons, delivered in ways that prove relevant and rewarding. Surrounded and supported by good pastoral care, clear expectations and high standards of achievement. This is what you would expect in any good school.

SUITABLE NON-SELECTIVE SUCCESSFUL Choosing with confidence All pupils of all abilities deserve quality education. This is the purpose of good schooling. True for a high school as much as a grammar. This is our aim. This is our record. This is our aim. This is our record. Non-selective, but not second best!

SUITABLE NON-SELECTIVE SUCCESSFUL Choosing with confidence You still have preferences to make. The Transfer Process will still operate regardless of selection tests. You will still receive literature and invites for our Transfer Evening next January. It will detail all that we offer and achieve.

SUITABLE NON-SELECTIVE SUCCESSFUL Choosing with confidence The value and quality of education we currently provide will continue. Pupils in Ballymoney, surrounding villages and further north can trust in this provision. Key standards are summarised on the following slides.
