Systems Analysis Project Presentation

Objectives Systems Analysts are often called upon to give presentations. This assignment will provide you with the opportunity to practice this skill.

Presentation Content The content will be drawn from your Deliverable # 1&2. Content will include: Background – business and sponsor Problem – describe the problem area associated with your project and project scope Choose 1 event – model how it is carried out today, how it will work when new information system is implemented – Use your activity diagrams from Del 2 OPTIONAL: If you have given any thought to HOW information system should be implemented, you can describe – this is not mandatory.

Deliverable Powerpoint presentation (on computer) minute presentation Everyone in the group will speak

Presentation Format Choose a visually appealing design template appropriate for projection. Careful with font size – should not have any bullets with font size < 20 point. Each slide should have a footer with the following information: Left – Date Center – Presentation Right – Page Number

Document Contents Title Page Background Organization Sponsor Problem Problem area – why did you choose Project Scope – use your context diagram to describe Event Describe the event you have chosen Diagram: How does it work today (issues!!) Diagram: How it will work in future (issues solved) Implementation Options Optional – will not count against those who do no to do.

Evaluation 3 factors will be considered Content 20% Presentation material (40%) Presentation delivery (40%) Everyone in the class will evaluate the presentation. I will hand out grading sheet in class.
