Have you ever been tempted? Today’s story is a myth with the theme of temptation. Theme in fiction writing: Explains the message of the author or what the story is about.

Pandora’s Box was written by American author Nathaniel Hawthorne in the year of He included it in a book of myths written for children. With a guiding theme of temptation the lesson is for the reader to yield not to temptation.

 Read Pandora’s Box by Nathaniel Hawthorne  Take notes during reading  Meet with your partner in computer lab  Create a graphic organizer and outline using “Inspiration” software  Independently create story about a mysterious box.
