What does the IBO believe international education to be? The IBO aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people that help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. The this end the IBO works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right

Our students What qualities would you like your child to have as a child and an adult? The INTERNATIONAL MINDED RAKESS student What makes your child an international child? On the consensus board – write your ideas in one of the body out lines around the outside of the sheet of paper. As a group come to a consensus on the KEY points of what makes the students at our school international – write these points on the RAKESS badge outline. An Internationally minded Student RAKESS & the IB believe that a student who shows the attribute of the Learner Profile are an internationally minded student. What makes us who we are? Please put these attributes in order of importance to you. مدرسة رأس الخيمة لمتحدثي الإنجليزية و البكالوريا الدولية تعتقد أن الطالب الذي يظهر سمة صفات المتعلم هو طالب ذو عقلية دولية. ما الذي يجعلنا من نحن ؟ يرجى وضع هذه الصفات بالترتيب من حيث الأهمية لك.

Our International Campus There are 60 different nationalities and 32 Languages at RAKESS IB يوجد 60 جنسية مختلفة و 32 لغة في مدرسة رأس الخيمة لمتحدثي الإنجليزية IB

What is RAKESS doing to promote international mindedness. Learner Profile is Key to our curriculum and the teaching and learning in our classrooms and across our schools. Mother-tongue clubs starting up on Sunday’s in January run by both parents and teachers. Children are invited to bring in books in their mother-tongue to read in the class. Trying to build a bank of mother- tongue resources eg. collect books and games. Many of our units of Inquiry celebrate and educate our students about the world. صفات المتعلم هى مفتاح منهجنا و التدريس والتعلم في الفصول و عبر مدارسنا. نادي اللغة الأم سوف يبدأ أيام الآحاد في يناير ويديره الوالدين و المعلمين. الطلاب مدعوون لجلب كتب في لغتهم الأم وقراءتها في الصف. محاولة بناء بنك لموارد اللغة الأم مثل. جمع الكتب والألعاب. العديد من وحداتنا عن التحقيق تحتفل وتعلم طلابنا حول العالم.

What, then, is a PYP school? A PYP school is a school that, regardless of location, size or constitution, strives towards developing an internationally minded person… a person who demonstrates the attributes of the IB learner profile (MPYPH p. 3)
