 Equality in accessing healthcare is the central principle in the delivery of care within the NHS  ‘Death by indifference’ and ‘Six Lives’  Partnership working with the Community Learning Disability Team  Action plan and cross partnership steering group  Acute Liaison Nurse service

Where are we now six months on?  Self Assessment CQC  Surrey Borders- Liaison nurse  Set up the Learning Disabilities Group  Patient Passport  Learning Disability Protocol  Flag patients who have a learning disability on PAS  Service user present at the Pride in Nursing event

Aim is to further :  Raise awareness and train all staff  Proactive approach to the Learning Disability Awareness event  Patient and staff information and resource file  User representation at meetings etc  Attend user meetings  Review themes from complaints and incidents
