The Doctrine of The Holy Spirit

Personality Deity  Salvation Gifts

 The Holy Spirit is a personal being, not an impersonal force (… or the equivalent of having school spirit…getting excited…etc)  In the Bible, The Holy Spirit is treated as a person with emotions, actions, intellect and relationships. “And do not grieve The Holy Spirit of God by whom you were sealed”…Eph 4:30

 The Holy Spirit is divine, the third person of the Trinity. Is omnipresent an omnipotent and performs miracles only God could do!!! “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all”.2 Cor 13:14

 The Holy Spirit is instrumental in personal salvation of individuals by enabling us to see our sin, and to help us realize that we need to repent of those sins.  Why two CRIBS?

Conviction: “And He (The H.S.)… will convict the world of sin and righteousness and judgment.” John 16:18 Regeneration: “He saved us according to His mercy… and renewing by the Holy Spirit.”Titus 3:5 Indwelling: “ You are not in the flesh, but in The Spirit… The Spirit of God dwells in you.”Romans 8:9 Baptism: “ By One Spirit we were all baptized.” 1 Cor 12:13 Sealing: “You were sealed with The Holy Spirit.” Eph 1:14
