 Review the front of the title for the following: 1. How many owners are listed on the title? 2. Is there a lienholder on the title? 3. Assignment must match title application.  Review the back of the title for the following: 1. Is the assignment completed correctly? 2. Is there a lienholder listed?  Printing of the CTA 1. Is the CTA legible? 2. Owners must verify address. 3. Owner (s) must sign the application. 10/26/20154

 Look carefully at the last assignment to your resident. Is there a lienholder listed anywhere  Make a procedure to always ask the resident if they have a lien  NH law requires all liens to be perfected on a title application  Missing lienholders can result in a board of claims being filed against the State 10/26/20155

 Titles branded salvage must have a salvage inspection  Titles branded rebuilt, reconstructed are not required to have the salvage inspection  Any title assigned to an insurance company must have a salvage inspection  We do not accept Maine’s Affidavit of Rebuilt or repaired salvage vehicle form MVT-103  On an unrepaired vehicle a double assignment is allowed 10/26/20156
