MANAGER Playing season works in an office coordinates business activities sometimes travels with a team Off-season negotiates business issues signs contracts with players

MANAGER and players drafts players cooperates with a coach, scouts – look for talented, economically feasible and suitable players

MANAGER and money keeps an eye on the budget decides on coaches´, players´ and assistants´ salaries makes financial arrangements for travelling, equipment, uniforms etc. tries hard to satisfy the owner

MANAGER and media participates in press conferences – explains the reasons for their decisions without giving away future intentions sign a contract with a great player HEROS respected player leaves or slides into losing streak MANAGER IS BLAMED FOR TEAM’S DOWNFALL

Let’s summarize: Manager should have the experience with a sport he is managing (as a couch and a player) Manager should handle the business aspect of the sport well Manager is under constant pressure from the owner and from media MANAGER – COMMUNICATIVE, SKILLFULL AND HIGHLY ORGANISED PERSON
