A Melissa Chase Assyrians

Assyrians The Assyrians had built some of the largest and most important buildings that were in Mesopotamia. They were kind of showing that they had money. This was to show in the palace the king would take care of stuff that needed to be done. The king received visitors and performed ceremony’s in the palaces. The Palaces were built to show the power of the king as well as to show the loyalty in ordinary people and visitors. And people who worked for the king. The king also used to send armies to get more land. The armies had to pay the king. And if you take my opion I think it should have been the other way around. If some of the people refused to pay the king would turn the army against that person. there only a few armies who could defeat the kings armies.because the kings armies had good training and good weapons that is why there were only a few armies that could defeat the kings armies The Assyrians had built some of the largest and most important buildings that were in Mesopotamia. Assyrians We still have big and important buildings. Like the white house, empire state building, and loads more. And people still build mansions to show that they are rich. instead of a king we have a president of the united states. and the president of the united states helps us make up our minds when we can’t so as you can see the Assyrians are just like us in many ways.

Astronomers of Babylon The astronomers of Babylon were people who learned to read and write using cuneiform writing those people were known as scribes. They all had a lot of responsibilities. like helping the king read the letters because not all kings could read.

I did not think that they would have a king because I thought they were like the hunters and gathers, and they just had a leader
