Feature Article

Instructions  Pick a famous person to write about.  Do research and write down any information you find interesting about this person.  Answer the “who, what, when, where, and why” about the famous person.  Write down the source where you got your information. For example:  Google: Encyclopedia Brittanica: Andrew Jackson p. 168 Encyclopedia Brittanica: Andrew Jackson p. 168

Outline information  Person (who): 1. What are they famous for? What inspired them? 1. What are they famous for? What inspired them? 2. When did they become famous or when were they born? 2. When did they become famous or when were they born? 3. Where did they become famous? 3. Where did they become famous? 4. Why did they become famous-did someone inspire them? 4. Why did they become famous-did someone inspire them?

Layout of Feature Article  First paragraph-Start with an attention- grabbing sentence. Then tell a little about the person.  Second paragraph-Tell me the who, what, when, and where  Third paragraph-Tell me if there is a reason why this person went into their profession and what you think about this person.
