Reflection In your group, explore what happens when you combine two even quantities of counters. Record your combinations as equations and not whether the sum is odd or even. Repeat the process with two odd quantities of counters. Repeat with an odd number and an even number.

Reflection Discuss what you noticed about adding odd and even numbers. What do you think will happen if we use doubles like 3 plus 3? Will we have an even total or an odd total? What if we double 4? Why do you think that?
