Challenge – Vandalism  THEFT OF STELL PIPE ATTACHED TO THE BRIDGES, SOLAR PAINELS AND OTHER UNAUTHORIZED ACTIVITIES BY UNKNOWEN PERSONS - ACTION TAKEN: - Promote campaigns to inform the Communities about the importance of the Communications and the need of Optical Fiber Cable Systems passing through that areas. Unknowen people dig on the cable route between Chimoio and Machipanda

Challenge – Road Constructions  OPTICAL FIBER CUT BY ENTREPRISES DURING ROAD CONSTRUCTIONS AND REHABILITATIONS, WATER SUPPLY SYSTEMS AND OTHER CIVIL WORKS - ACTION TAKEN: - Give all details of the cable route and allocate TDM Staff to follow up. Construction of a Road from Nampula to Cuamba

The works already started with removal of existing walls, buildings and fences within targeted 22 meters meanwhile the utilitiy companies are taking measurement at the services reserved area. Scratched area along the road New trench for TDM and Water EASSy BMH - Maputo Challenge – Cable reallocation

Conclusions Network Management under stress. Need for rapid implementation of new alternative routes (for traffic protection and better QoS to the customers) to survive in the Market. Involve local communities in a cable route surveillance
