Main Problems on German Lakes: Destruction of natural shores by settlements, tourism and road construction Water contamination Overuse of lakes through leisure activities Intensive agriculture Impact of climate change

Goals: Continuous exchange of experience and knowledge between different actors in the lake regions of Germany Development and implementation of new joint projects Analysis of the results of pilot projects and learning by experience Mutual support in lake conservation activities

Measures: Establishment of forums / thematic workshop series Work on pilot projects to promote practical sustainable development in lake regions Strengthening public relations and network presence on various public events (exhibitions, conferences etc.) Promoting transboundary cooperation and international interchange, as well as active cooperation between lake regions
