WORLD WIDE WEB A part of the Internet that is unique because of its GUI and use of hyperlinks GUI = Graphical User Interface

HYPERLINKS Words and/or graphics that connect you to other places; Pointer will turn to a hand when placed over a link

HTML Hypertext Markup Language Computer “language” of the Web that indicates how graphics are to be displayed and how documents and files are linked

HTTP Hypertext Transfer Protocol Basic computer rules that allow for the linking and transferring of Web pages and graphics

Modem A piece of hardware that allows your computer to access the Internet You may have a CABLE MODEM in your house Some modems are wireless (hotspot)
