Writing Assignment

 In a play, the audience usually only hears a character’s speech and has to infer how he/she is feeling or thinking. Write a journal entry using first person where you share a character’s thoughts and feelings.  20 points

 What does the character want for the future?  How does this person think the money should be spent?  What is his/her attitude toward others in the house?  How does he/she feel about the living situation?

 Write at least 3 full paragraphs as your character  Be sure to include details from the play as support  Include at least 3 meaningful quotes from your character (one per paragraph) that illustrate the thoughts/feelings of your character
