Kingdom Lessons Based on Alive-O 8: Term 3, Lessons 2-8 Refer to Teacher’s Book pp This presentation can be used to introduce the above lessons or to consolidate learning when the lessons have been completed.

One of Jesus’ greatest priorities was to teach people about the Kingdom of God.

Jesus spent a lot of time thinking of ways to teach people about God’s Kingdom. He was always searching for ways to explain it.

He would often say, the Kingdom of God is like this thing or that thing… a mustard seed yeast in dough a lighted lamp

He told many original stories about this Kingdom and what it was like… a woman who lost a coin a father whose son had left home a sower who went out to sow seed

In how Jesus lived his life, the things he did - Jesus showed people the Kingdom of God already happening among them. feeding people healing people calming the storm

Wherever people related to each other in a truly creative way, in love, justice and peace, it showed the Kingdom of God in action here on earth.

For example, when people work together the Kingdom of God has come. for the good of everyone for the good of their surroundings

The Kingdom of God is not one particular place. It is anywhere and everywhere, at any time.

When Jesus spoke about the Kingdom of God, he challenged people to create relationships based on love, making the Kingdom a reality in the here and now.

In the Our Father, we pray for the coming of God’s Kingdom…

Consider… Where do you see the Kingdom of God in the world today? How can you help to make God’s Kingdom come?
