Where are the Middle colonies?

The colonies were New York New Jersey Pennsylvania Delaware

Facts to know! Due to good climate they were able to develop large farms that produced enough food for their families and to sell. Many of the settlers were on good terms with the Native Americans

Facts to know! People from many different countries who came for different reasons settled the middle colonies. Each community had its own leader, made, its own rules, and practiced its own religion. These colonies had large towns and a system of roads to move goods place to place.

Facts to know! Quakers who settled in Pennsylvania practiced religious tolerance allowing others to practice whatever religion they chose.

Interesting facts to know! The middle colonies are known as the breadbasket.

Interesting facts to know! These colonies were settled mainly by English, French, Dutch, and German people. They developed the region into a rich farming area.
