Genuine adjective If someone is genuine, they don’t pretend to be different than they really are. An antonym of genuine is fake.

Genuine Another word for genuine is real. It can be used to describe many things such as jewels. This is a genuine piece of gold. Advertisers often use the word genuine to describe things they are selling.
