Anglo Saxons facts 1.Each villager consisted of one or more groups of small huts. 2.By 600 AD, Saxon settlements had become small kingdoms. 3.Life was violent, when under attack they would grab there weapons and fight.

Saxon villages Saxon villages where most often surrounded by hills or a wall so enemies cant get in and soo they take ages to get over the hills.

Anglo Saxon growing up The Anglo Saxons thought that their sons and daughters are equal except that their daughter’s work in the centre of the household like a house wife. They learned house keeping skills such as weaving cloth, cooking and making ale. Girls and boys would have to collect sticks for fire wood and they would get water from a stream.

Clothes Women and girls They wore a long dress with a little apron that either they their mother or a friend would have made. Men and boys He wore wool or linen trousers a tunic made of linen and then a thick tunic on top.

Food and drinks As you know already is that the children would fetch the water from a stream but what you don’t know is what they eat or how they get it? Well for the beginning of the day they would have wheat from crops or rye and make bread, and for dinner they would have different vegetables from crops like parsnips and carrots and also the potatoes. We cant forget fruit, well they had the natural products that are produced from the world such as apples, banana’s and oranges.
