Decimal to percent  Multiple decimal by 100  Some students remember it by moving two decimal spots right  Why would it need to be 100?  Why two decimal spots?  * I remember this because it does not have a percent, which looks like a 100, it needs a 100. By multiplying it I am giving it a percent sign

Examples  Example .18 X 100=18%..09 X 100 =9%  1.86 moved two decimal spots would be186%

Percent to decimal  Divide percent by 100  Some students move it two spots left  *I remember because it has a % and I need to get rid of it divide it away  Example  43%/100 =.43. 6%/100 =.06  58% =.58
