Historic Background AWAL approved as a Self-Admin organisation by CASA in May 2007 AWAL received the approvals it needed to operate as a Self –Admin organisation May 2009 What CAN AWAL actually do With this kind of responsibility come with serious obligations to CASA. AWAL is responsible to CASA for what goes on within the Warbird community and that we manage Warbird as agreed within our ESAM.

SMS= Risk to Organisation Registered 87 items that need to be fixed All aspects of the organisation The Regulators, Funding, financial viability, Operators of Warbirds (Adventure Flights) Compliance with our obligations to CASA Etc……….

Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) 1.CASA audited AWAL three times 2.Provides some funds to assist AWAL 3.Helpful to AWAL by providing Support and guidance as required. 4.Sections of CASA working on a day to day basis with AWAL (Aircraft Reg)

1. Aircraft Noise Management, Aviation Environment Branch. 1.Issue of documentation (Exemption from Cert Noise) in relation to Limited Category Aircraft. 2.Adventure Flight location 3.Public complaints regarding noise. 1.Data exchange between AWAL & DI. 2.Developing a document to go to all Airport owners and operators. 3.AWAL is working with DI to develop some acceptable noise monitoring Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local government
