Introduction The University of Texas Archives preserves and makes available for research the noncurrent, historically valuable, official records of The University of Texas at Austin and The University of Texas System administration; the personal and professional papers of significant university administrators, faculty, and staff; and any other materials that substantively document the history and development of the institution.

Transferring University Records to The University of Texas Archives  Archival transfers and review are initiated by submitting a Request to Dispose of Records Form to Records Management Services.  Indicate any record series that requires archival transfer or review.  Indicate any record series that appears to be historically significant.  Records Management Services contacts the department and the university archivist to facilitate archival review or transfer process.
