Wireless 911 Board Population based Disbursement to Counties (2)(a)-Population per FAC Directory Counties (12) that will experience a decrease in revenue are: –Alachua, Broward, Collier, Miami-Dade, Duval, Hillsborough, Lee, Monroe, Orange, Palm Beach, St. Johns and St. Lucie

Wireless 911 Board Small Rural County Grant Monies to Fund Participation in Regional System Change language in (2)(a) 2. To specifically allow grant monies to be used to fund a small rural county’s participation in a regional system based on an “Inter- local Agreement”

Wireless 911 Board Auditor General’s Recommendations Carry forward all revenues from Wireless 911 Fee until utilized without limitation on percent or time. Separate accounts for wireline and wireless revenues to better track receipts and expenditures

Wireless 911 Board All customers with access to 911 should pay the Fee. Non-Traditional users Prepaid Customers On-Star Type Customers (telematics), etc.

Rural County Grant Program Updated Requirements for 2003 Automatic Grant - $3,000 Monthly Disbursement Minimum for Small Rural Counties (1/3 to 1/2 of funds) Later today at 3:15 there is a session on “Wireless 911 Grant Results and Overview of Next Years Grants” with Nelson Green, Pat Welte, Bruce Thorburn and Winston Pierce

Rural County Grant Program Priorities #1--Rural Counties w/o E911 #2--Rural Counties that need to replace critical or necessary components #3--Rural Counties requesting system upgrades related to wireless impacts #4--All other applications

Rural County Grant Program Schedule Application Deadline - 2/28/02 Evaluation of Applications - March and April 2002 Recommendations to Board for Funding - April and May 2002 Grant Checks Issued - before June 30, 2002
