Context of Job 40  God is answering Job with some harsh questioning. Basically questioning him about considering creation (28-40)  We comes come to chapter 40 in the middle of God using 14 animals to question Job.  The 13 th animal (Behemoth)

The meaning of the word (behemoth)  Behemoth is a transliterated word not a translated word  Behemoth is o plural word (oth is plural in Hebrew)  The word means “animals”  This is a composite of animals in to one

(Rev 13:1-2) And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

Behemoth’s power “He moveth his tail like a cedar” (Rev 12:4) And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

The only defense against behemoth (Job 40:19) “he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him”. Leviathan The Hebrew word used here is transliterated and means joined or united serpent

Comparing Scripture to Scripture (Psa 74:14) Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
