Test: Friday 9/17/10 Unit 1- Early Humans to Early Civilizations Study from your notes, Vocabulary, Bell ringers, Quiz and Student Learning Map

 Break into pairs, move desks  Your task:  Read and analyze the text from 1 Kings 6 which describes Solomon’s Temple  Plan and create a labeled, roughly scaled drawing of the Temple as it is described in the text  Notice the architecture, décor and layout of the temple and its items contained within  Inner chamber, outer room, ark, cherubim, carvings, building materials  Be accurate! You will be graded on accuracy, neatness and participation.  Note: threescore=3x20, a cubit=1 ½ feet

 It’s hard to interpret historical texts and completely understand how historical items actually existed when we don’t have archaeological evidence to guide the way.  History is subject to interpretation!!!!!
