Deaf Awareness Week Appoquinimink High School American Sign Language

Homework for weekend… Find several facts about Deaf ◦ It’s a graded assignment (its not that hard to find, y’all have easy homework !)

On Monday, will create flyer with Deaf facts which will be posted around the campus promoting about Deaf/ Deaf Culture/ Deaf history & American Sign Language ◦ It’s a graded assignment (Use your creativity)

Will have showcase displaying all information about Deaf and ASL (next to nurse) for others to view and have a better understanding about Deaf and ASL because AHS do have some Deaf including me

Wednesday, September 24 th Deaf for day Will receive ear plugs Please do not take advantage of ear plugs to ignore teachers or sleep- teachers are aware of this event. Some may not be thrilled about you being ‘Deaf’ Try your best and ‘experience’ of what it is like to be Deaf
