Initial Design Brief You have been commissioned to design, produce and evaluate a 3D model which represents a space for living or recreational purposes in response to the needs of a designated client.

Analysis of Brief and Client Profile We have been asked to design, produce and evaluate a 3D model which will be custom-made to a clients needs and wants of a space for living or recreational purposes. In the length of 14 weeks, as well as making a 3D model we have to complete a folio.   is the owner of the salon in Sydney. She is married and has two children. The Salon is open Monday till Saturday all day as well as Tuesday and Thursday nights. The Salon is very small and a very popular busy place for people to go. There is in total six staff members.

There is a need to create more space for the clients that come in and while they wait for there appointment time to be served by a staff member. Wanting to have bigger and more functional back or lunchroom. My client is after a new look for the salon, There is a need for a bigger reception area. My client would also like to have different rooms or sections for the waiting area and reception, another room for the washing basin area, and then a bigger room or area for the cutting and blow-drying.   has a budget of more than $50000, for the redesigning of the salon.

Analysis of Concept Board and Initial Ideas After showing my client my trend and colour boards, we talked through what she is wanting for the salon. She decided on trend board one - modern and trend board three - sleek. For the colour boards we decided on board two- neutral colours. So for my concept board I incorporated modern and sleek for the trends and neutral for the colours.
