Is there any sizable period of time (more than one week) where you or the persons authorized to drive the car do not use the car ? If so, specify approximately the number of periods of " non-use ", the length and the months along the year. 2. In the case that you have periods of " non-use " would you be wishing to return the car temporarily during the corresponding periods to the PH car service such that it is integrated in the short term rental car pool ? 3. Would you be wishing to return your long term car assuming the normal availability of cars in the short term rental car pool ? 4.Do you have any advice to improve / optimize the use of the cars in the short term rental car pool ? The 12 persons who answered yes to Q1 have also answered positively to Q2 but only 3 said yes to Q3. However of the 30 who answered NO to Q1 & Q2, 4 have said yes to Q3.

J. Salicio DiezACCU 3 November Situation of the short time rental car-pool Today 15 cars without logo in the short term pool are available. For the beginning of 2009 still ~ 15 short term cars are still available. Other subjects Initiative of ATLAS in order to reduce the number of cars in their pool. Create 2 small car pools located in precise parking in P1 and B40 The parking will be equipped with a box which can be opened with the CERN access card and that contains the keys of the cars. Only the persons authorized before hand will have access to the boxes. If this test is successful it may be extended to other experiments. It may liberate a few car which could be made available for the short term pool. Electronic locks In spite of the non obvious advantage of equipping cars with electronic locks which could be activated with cards, the car service looked into this possibility. The result is that so far there is no electronic lock in the market which could be used with cards.
