Exemption from GACE Basic Skills SAT – Min. 1000* (Critical Reading/Verbal + Math) ACT – Min. 43* (English + Math) For GRE and additional exemption options, visit * SAT scores prior to April 1, 1995, and ACT scores prior to 1989, were “recentered,” typically adding points. GACE Basic Skills Assessments Through August 17, 2013 The August 17, 2013, GACE administration is the final opportunity to pass GACE Basic Skills assessments with the current supplier (ES) to count for certification. If an examinee does not have passing scores on all tests within an assessment by the last administration of the GACE program with ES (August 2013), the examinee must take all tests within an assessment with the new supplier (ETS), even if a portion of the assessment was previously passed.

You may register for 1-3 tests for each remaining testing date (July – August) Each GACE testing session (paper-based) is four hours in length. The tests are not individually timed, and you may spend the entire four hours on one, two, or three tests for which you registered. Registration processing fee ($25) must be paid for each test administration (plus $25 for each test). You must successfully pass all three assessments (Reading, Writing and Mathematics) through the August 17, 2013, testing or take all tests with the new supplier.
