13 History Objective: –Develop an understanding of Vietnam’s war chronology –Indicators: –A timeline showing all major events and individuals.

Homework: Hand in: “What was it?” –(Read pages 2-9 and complete the activity on page 9)

Activity: In pairs: For the following time periods create a timeline: 1939 – 1954 – Rose/Alex – Sophie/Sam – Jessie/Mitchell 1968 – 1973 – B/Selina/Melissa (hint: 1968 a big year!) Research five major events, two major figures and three issues that were topical at the time. You must also have THREE relevant images. Make mention of any big battles that occurred during your time.

Presentation: When you have gathered your information you need to place it on a timeline in A3 format. The five timelines will be grouped together You have one period to complete this research.

Records You must keep accurate records of all historical sources you use. This is to be handed in on a separate sheet at the end of tomorrow’s period.
