Culminating Activity Acrostic Poem

CULMINATING ACTIVITY SWBAT… Bring the unit (map skills and geography) to a close by writing an acrostic poem. Will decorate their folders with an acrostic poem. Will file papers in their decorated folder.

Materials

ACROSTIC POEM The verse is unrhymed The title is the subject of the poem The title is printed vertically, letter by letter Each letter is used to create a phrase or sentence which describes the topic.

Example of an acrostic poem… Happy times with family Opening gifts on my birthday. Memories captured in pictures Enjoying our time together.
