Kairos Auckland Setting the Stage for 2010 March 7, 2010

Why are you here? Your parents are probably members of the Lamb of God community. You have some friends here. You want to have fun! “I was told to be here, whether I like it or not.” Other reasons why you are here.

Why are you here? But:  Do you choose to be here?

Kairos Core Values – Our Values 1. We seek to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 2. We want to promote the full charismatic life. 3. We desire to advance the cause of Christian unity.

Kairos Core Values – Our Values 4. We want to provide the youth with exposure to life in community. 5. We aim to worship the Lord in excellence. 6. Our goal is personal discipleship in daily life of holiness.

Kairos – What it is NOT: We are NOT just a youth group – we have a CALL and a MISSION. We are not just a bunch of good moral young men and women. Our goal is HOLINESS in DISCIPLESHIP. We are not just a happy social group – we are called to love and serve each other and to evangelise.

What did we see in the video? Being part of Kairos is a RESPONSE to God’s call to your life. God is calling YOU to a life of discipleship with Him. YOU need to respond to that call – Yes or No.

Focus of Kairos Auckland – 2010: 1. Grow in personal prayer. 2. Grow in praise and worship. 3. Learn how to evangelise.

Fence-sitting Uncomfortable - after a while, it will hurt! We don’t encourage fence-sitting long term. Come and join us! Be part of us! It will be a fun, challenging and exciting year!

Conclusion Being part of Kairos is a RESPONSE to God’s call to your life. God is calling you to a life of discipleship with Him. You need to respond to that call – Yes or No.
