Survival food chain: food chain:

?Survival of the fittest? What do you think of when you hear “survival of the fittest?” > Adaptation: (to adapt, reproduce or die.) > Be able to make a “fight” or “flight” situation.

Shallow waters  plants: plant feed of sun nutrients in order to survive  Note: when you go deeper and sunlight is faded plant life disappears.  Shallow waters are the warmest part of the ocean.

?Upwelling?  Upwelling is a “recycle system” a system in which the ocean can clean itself to an extent.  pollution dropped of can cause up to years of upwelling!!

Picture > Upwelling!!!

Movie clip!!!  Show clip on animal survival in ocean.

?Questions?  Were do “Zooplankton” drift?  What is the key term's) for zooplankton?  What is Nekton?  What is “Upwelling”?  Can you think of a “Flight” or “fight” situation for an animal or personal experience?
