Andrewsarchus Andrew Jordan

Appearance The Andrewsarchus was 13 feet long and 6 feet tall. It was orange with black pock-a-dots and gray on it’s lower feet. It also had a tiny bit of gray on it’s nose. It weighed 4,000 pounds.

Diet The Andrewsarchus was an omnivore that ate giant turtles and types of plants.

Habitat The Andrewsarchus lived in the Tethys Ocean of Central Europe.

Motion The Andrewsarchus walked on 4 feet. Scientist think the Andrewsarchus could run up to 20 miles per hour.

Ancestors/Descendents Scientist think the Andrewsarchus was related to whales.

Predators The Andrewsarchuses predators were the Short-Faced Bear and the Sabertoothed Cat.

Life Span The Andrewsarchus got extinct when Central Asia dried out which didn’t pervide enough food for the Andrewsarchus to eat so that’s how it became extinct.

Common/Scientific Name The Andrewsarchus is named after the famous explorer Roy Chapman Andrews.
