Print Media Posters Gillian Needham

Music Pink Floyd Concert This is a poster created to advertise a Pink Floyd Concert. The idea of this poster was to use the covers of Pink Floyd CDs and make it appealing. I think the artist either drew this poster, or they used a graphic art program.

Politics Barack Obama This is a poster advertising Barack Obama’s election for president. The point of this poster is to show that Obama is versatile and wants to encourage hope. I think an artist painted/drew the separate images and then compiled them.

Sports Ping Pong Champ The poster is used to show how popular the sport of table tennis is in China. The “wispy” lion gives it an Asian feel, so it could be concluded that this poster originated in Asia. I think that this was digitally altered.

Music James Brown Concert This is a picture of James Brown with some of his songs and nicknames made to look like his face. The idea of this poster is to portray the soul that James Brown uses in his music. This photo was made in a photo shop editor.

Movie The Truman Show The poster is used to show what makes up the life of the main character. The strategy used in this poster is to make you look at the poster and figure out what the smaller pictures are. I believe the artist took the still frames from the production, and made the picture by editing it on a computer.
