LISD Expectations Employment and Assignment of School Resource Officer –City will Include and confer with LISD in selection and assignment of SROs. –LISD Chief will approve “substitute” for absent SRO. –LISD will provide input in reassignment or removal of SROs for failure to comply with an assigned duty.

Basic Qualifications of SROs Possess sufficient knowledge of  LISD Board Policies  LISD Student Code of Conduct  Texas Education Code

Duties of SROs  Perform other duties assigned by the LISD chief of police and campus principal.  File all criminal reports according to LISD police department reporting procedures  Submit monthly statistics reports to the LISD chief of police.

Training/Briefing –Provide search and seizure and use of force policies. –LISD will provide training on Board policies, regulations and procedures –Student Code of Conduct –Texas Education Code

Duty Hours of SROs  SROs will work Monday thru Friday, times designated by chief of police and principal.  City of Laredo will submit time sheets to LISD chief of police for review.  LISD will pay for court time pay or call back pay, or any overtime pay relating to LISD (case logs to be submitted to LISD chief.  LISD will pay for emergency involving SRO’s duties under the SRO program.
