AODA Cocaine and Inhalants Journal: The “high” from cocaine lasts…how long? Info. From Journal Myth Facts/Notes Poster Definition of Inhalant Video Test Questions

The high from cocaine lasts … To describe what a cocaine high is like and how long it lasts we are going to compare it to a person not on drugs, and a person using marijuana. A person who does not use drugs has highs and lows, but usually stays close to the same. A person who uses marijuana gets a high that lasts hours but ends up below the persons’ normal state. A person who uses cocaine has a very intense high but it only lasts for a minute or two. When the high is over, the person crashes or drops way below their normal state. This causes the person to feel terrible, and so they want to get the feeling they had from the high. They are hooked after the first try. Not only are they hooked, but when they try cocaine again, the high is not as intense as the first time, so they try again and again to get to that first high. This is called chasing the high, which is very dangerous. No drugs Marijuana Cocaine
