Classroom Expectations & Guidelines Mrs. Beth Jacobs Business Department, Room 226

“THE GOLDEN RULE” Treat others as you would want to be treated in this classroom: Be kind and courteous Show respect Be cooperative in teams

COME PREPARED TO CLASS EVERY DAY! Bring your sense of humor and willingness to learn and share Completed homework & course binder. Textbooks must be covered at all times (where applicable). No headphones, CD players, cell phones, IPods, digital cameras, etc. allowed!

ARRIVE ON TIME Must be INSIDE THE ROOM when the bell rings…NO EXCEPTIONS! TARDY to class without a pass from a school faculty/staff member 4 times tardy to class will result in detention.

Consequences to Frequent Tardy to Class After 3 rd tardy to class, “Conference” between student & Mrs. Jacobs. After 4 th tardy to class, parent or guardian is notified via phone call, , or letter; detention assigned as necessary.

RESPECT EQUIPMENT AND DESKS Please DO NOT: Write on desk tops Mark on Computer Screens, Keyboards, etc. Place stickers you receive from me on any desks, computers, or equipment.

If you notice marks on furniture, notify me immediately. Consequences of damaging equipment or desks: 1 st offense = Come in to clean 2 nd offense = Discipline report filed with administration and parent/guardian contacted. RESPECT EQUIPMENT AND DESKS

No Refreshments in the Computer Lab The following are not allowed in this area: Food (this includes candy/gum) Drinks (like juice, soda, etc.) Consequences: 1 st offense = conference with student. 2 nd offense = Discipline report filed with Administration & parent/guardian contacted.
