Introduction American high schools are different from high schools in Thailand in three ways.  Classroom environment  Classroom discipline  Study

Classroom environment differences Ardmore High School  Informal dress code  Teachers are more friendly  Talking while teachers teach  Eating while teachers teach  Taking a nap while teachers teach  Cell phones not allowed Thai High Schools  Formal dress code  Teachers are stricter  Difficult to talk while teachers teach  Eating is not allowed  Taking a nap sometimes  Allow cell phones

Classroom environment Ardmore High school  Ardmore High classrooms are very informal; for example, students can wear jeans and T-shirts to school, and teachers also dress casually.  Teachers in American classroom are very friendly to students.  Teachers in America always communicate with parents.

Thailand High Schools Classroom environment  Students are required to wear uniforms to school  Teachers are required to wear business clothes to school  Teachers in Thai are very strict about everything; they’re not so friendly to students  Every student must have short hair

Classrooms discipline At Ardmore High School  Talking and not paying attention to teachers seem to be a big problem at Ardmore High  They were not only talking during class but also eating, sleeping, and passing notes to friends between class hour  Students did not really respect teachers very much

Classroom discipline Thai High School  It’s difficult to talk during class hour because teachers are strict  If students talk, eat, sleep, and pass notes, they might end up failing class automatically; it’s a serious problem in Thai high school  Sometime students may feel fear to attend class because teachers are very strict to them, and some students may end up with quite going to class

Study Ardmore high schoolThai high schools  Students take only two years of science  Students have a test often in middle of the year, but do not have a big exam the end of the year  Students are allowed to used a calculator in math class  Students have to take four years of science  Students have to take advanced math, too  Students cannot use a calculator in math class  Students take a difficult exam at the end of the term that covers all the subjects they have been studying

Summary Of course, American high schools and Thai high schools are different from each other because of culture, educational systems, and ways of thinking; however, both countries try to do the best for students to obtain a remarkable education. The two schools differ in many ways such as environment, discipline, and study, but both countries have excellent schools.
