Sentence combining is:  Making the sentence smoother  Easier to understand or clarify  Putting detailed sentence of two or more short, choppy sentences

 Short sentences are easy to read, but several of them in a row can become so monotonous that meaning gets lost.  In other words, it gets you or the reader BORED.

A BMW screamed around the corner. The BMW was fire-red. It screeched to a stop in front of the doors. The doors led into the school.
