* Go over class expectations and agenda * Review-staff, clefs, line and space names, rhythm * Solfage * Sectional rehearsal

1) learn to read music 2) learn to figure out melody, pitch, and rhythm without teacher’s help by developing basic keyboard skills 3) understand basic harmony to sing in tune and for musical phrasing and expression. 4) Develop good ear to sing in harmony. 5) You want to sing not just the lines but intervals. 6) Know what you are singing

* Bring your folder on Wednesday. You may leave it in the classroom cabinet. * Keep practicing solfage. It takes time to develop good ear. * See you on Wednesday.
