IMPLEMENTATION CONTEXT VISION: To assist the Western Cape Province in achieving Social Cohesion through DCAS activities STRATEGY: Val ’ isikhewu / Filling and / or closing the gap SYSTEM:Linking school-based activities with community-based activities MESSAGING:Anti-crime, anti-substance abuse, HIV & AIDS awareness, etc. STRUCTURE:DCAS: Culture, Arts and Sport ACTIVITIES:Daily (Residual Time) EXHIBITIONS:Quarterly (School Holidays)

THE CONCEPT A centralised Mass, Opportunity and Development (MOD) sport centre, Focusing on youth development Based on Long Term Athlete Development principles This centre forms the basis for the co-ordination of sport programmes And acts as a Centre for research and development, gathering information that will assist with sport and youth development Which contributes to human and social development in that community This centre will increase the rate of sport development in conjunction with sport federations (Club Development) The centre also offers the opportunity for the development of coaches, managers and administrators. A Centre that caters for exchange programmes and twinning opportunities
