CMLDP Application Process Danielle Mattei, CFCM Dominick Belfiore, CFCM

Application Do’s and Dont’s Selection is wholly based on how you respond to the questions –Make sure your answers are concise - not too long –Thoughtful –Sincere and show that you’re dedicated to the program and it’s benefits Do you really want it and are you willing to put in the work (not your boss, co-worker, etc.)? Be sure to showcase your NCMA experience Do you want to become a leader and do you have room for personal growth? –Looking for people who haven’t taken on a management role yet so you can hone your leadership skills

Application Do’s and Don’ts DO: Focus on leadership skills and experience DON’T: Focus just on technical skills DO: Show how your participation will benefit the career field DON’T: Be in it all for yourself

Program Experience The program benefit is a direct correlation to the level of effort and thought you put into it. Make the most out of your mentor interactions and meetings You’ll learn things about yourself you didn’t expect Take advantage of your status as a CMLDP’er Take notes! Information and knowledge flows quickly!

Things I wish I knew about the program before I applied… This is truly a leadership program –Additional educational training on contract administration or management is limited (some folks decided to get their certification in order to engage more thoroughly in the contracts discipline) You will meet lifelong contacts Be prepared to meet, and interact with, senior- level leaders
