Question: 3 Some deserts are covered with sand, others with stones and rocks.
Question: 4 Snakes, lizards, gerbils and beetles hide in the shade of rocks. Camels live there.
Question: 5 Deserts are so dry that very few plants can grow there.

Question: 7 It is a place where there are water all year round. People dig deep wells to reach water under the ground.
Question: 8 It is dry land but not so as dry as a desert. Many people live there. They keep goats and plant crops in the dry earth.
